I took this picture one evening I arrived fairly early to a dark site SFAAA (an astronomy club I belong to) used to use. The site is no longer available for use because of gates the South Florida Water Management District had installed. There was also a lot of recent light pollution which really rendered this site unusable anyway.
Mahogany Hammock
Emanuele Colognato and I at Mahogany Hammock in Everglades National Park imaging on a clear night despite the moonlight. The moonlight did however make this an excellent picture.
STS-130 Launch
One of the pictures I took when I went to the launch of shuttle mission STS-130.
STS-119 Launch from US27
A picture I took of the shuttle launch from US27 in Broward County Florida. I think it's pretty awesome that you could see the launches from South Florida even though they were happening so far away. When I was in elementary school I used to be able to see them from my window in class.
STS-119 Launch from US27
Another picture I took of the STS-119 launch, this one is shortly after the launch, the cloud is apparently ice crystals from high in the atmosphere that the shuttle passed through.
Gator at Area 51
A gator hanging out at a former dark site we used to frequent.

Moon from Mahogany Hammock
This is a picture of the moon I took at Mahogany Hammock in Everglades National Park one night just before packing up to go home. I took it with my astrophotography rig, the camera was a Starlight Xpress SXVF-H9C.
Imaging at Harold Campbell
On night imaging at Harold Campbell public use area in Broward off of US 27.
December 2010 Lunar Eclipse
I stayed up with two of my sons to see and take pictures of the lunar eclipse.
Wall-E
This is a picture I took while playing with the depth of field and white balance settings of my camera. I just thought it looked cool.
